Mr. Lucky Participates in Pilot of Azzule’s PrimusGFS McDonald’s Addendum
In partnership with McDonald’s Global Quality Systems – Food Safety Agricultural Products, Azzule Systems has been conducting a leafy green pilot program for its Good Agricultural Practices addendum, which is to be used in conjunction with PrimusGFS. The addendum was designed to meet the needs of growers, harvesters, and shippers that supply to McDonald’s. The addendum’s goal is to provide users with the confidence that the produce they’ve grown and harvested meets all of McDonald’s food safety specifications.
Azzule would like to thank Mr. Lucky for its participation in the pilot program. The company was the first organization to undergo an audit for the PrimusGFS McDonald’s addendum for both Farm and Harvest Crew. The audit was conducted on June 12 in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. Mr. Lucky’s feedback, comments, and questions regarding the addendum checklist have proven invaluable in developing the final version of the addendum.
Azzule’s approved PrimusGFS Certification Bodies will begin performing the new McDonald’s GAP addendum for leafy green products being supplied to McDonald’s with future pilots in the United States and Canada.
